Structure and design are the key factors in determining splash protection. All PALME shower oases meet the requirements of EN 14428, but due to their design, shower oases with profiles offer greater splash protection than versions without.

FRAMELESS SHOWER OASES

In shower oases without a frame, the water naturally finds its way out more easily. This is why a frameless all-glass shower can never offer 100 % splash protection.

SHOWER OASES WITH A PARTIAL FRAME

A slimmer profile usually means less protection against splashing water.

However, PALME has cleverly tweaked the design of the sill, drip rail and glass panel to achieve both a slimline look and satisfactory splash protection.

SHOWER OASES WITH A FULL FRAME

The lower profile sill acts like a dam against jets of water spraying onto the lower edge of the tray or water accumulating in the tray. The higher the sill, the lower the risk of water droplets getting out.
